Wattpad Summer Story Contest

A couple of weeks or so ago, one of my friends announced a Wattpad summer short story contest. Needless to say, the theme of the contest was summer or anything summer related.

The moment I saw the contest notification, I bounced with excitement. I was extremely eager to participate as it presented me with a good opportunity to fight against the dreaded writer’s block. So I quickly threw in a comment, to let my friend know that “I’m in~”.

A few minutes after, I called my sister to ask her if she wants to participate too.

“What prizes are there?” she asked. Continue reading “Wattpad Summer Story Contest”

Cherry On Top

It is quite rare for me to livestream when I am drawing or doodling. However, not long ago, I was in a Skype call with one of my friends from abroad, happily conversing about our lives and futures, throwing jokes at each other, and listening to music, when I started working on a rose. In the beginning, there was nothing but a huge red spot on the white virtual paper, but I have decided to show it to my friend either way. She laughed at me, thinking I was joking, so I proposed a show and talk sort of Skype call.

Still On Time

A week or so ago, my sister challenged me to participate in a writing competition which took place on Wattpad. At first, I turned her down, since I knew that I would not have enough time to write a new story that would fit the requirements of the organizers, but after a few more days, as my schedule cleared up a little bit, I admitted defeat. I accepted her challenge to compete against each other and see who scores higher.

A couple of days before the contest’s deadline, I got an idea for the story. At that time, I was on my way to college. A few moments later, I was on the phone with my sister.

“I already have a few pages written~!” She teased me. “Did you start writing yet?”

“Nope. Not yet. But you’re going down!” I laughed. “I’m gonna win.” Continue reading “Still On Time”

Tale of a Bird

When I was little, I used to help my mother around, with various household chores. Sometimes, I would just tag along, watching her take care of all the work by herself, since the tasks would have been too difficult for a child, to carry on. So, all I did was keep her company and listen to her tales.

One day, while we were out in the garden, and the birds were chirping happily above our heads, I came across a tiny little delicate white flower, which majestically raised her head through the blades of greenery. I almost stepped on it, since, in my rush to keep close to my mother, I did not pay much attention to where my steps left prints. Continue reading “Tale of a Bird”
